I keep a bag of ripped or stained clothes made of pretty fabric for crafty moments just like this. My favorite item, the ruffle dress, came from a stained shirt that still had potential. This quick project gave it new life!

  • Fabric (old clothes or fabric scraps)
  • Marker
  • Fabric scissors
  • Free clothing template from our printable library (password should be in your inbox)
  • Fray Check (optional)

How-to:

1. Print and cut out clothing template on cardstock or printer paper. You can get my template from the free printable library (password will be in your inbox after signing up for The Nook on 32nd’s awesome emails). Or if templates aren’t for you, then you can totally wing it and make your own designs.

3. Cut out clothing using sharp scissors.

4. Trim frays and seal with Fray Check (optional)
