Does it get any better than an antique Winnie the Pooh first birthday party? π―π§Έ
It’s classic.
It’s timeless.
And it’s made even better because this Winnie the Pooh first birthday party is a DIY labor of love by my good friend @lifestylewithphoenix.
β‘οΈBut first, a note on our handsome little birthday boy.
Ok, I admit it. I’ve started a Robbie Nix fan club. I show his photos to people like a proud grandparent. Annnnnnd he’s already been in comercials because he is THAT adorable.
Anyway, his momma happens to be talented in the birthday party planning department and has channeled her love of all things antique into this charming Winnie the Pooh first birthday party.
So, grab a pot of honey and check out these sweet party details.

Q & A
Q: What inspired you to choose the theme of vintage Winnie the Pooh?
“I love vintage things. Antique things, watercolorsβit all reminds me of the olden days and traditional motherhood I guess. I wanted to pair it with a costume. I already did Peter Rabbit for his nursery, so Winnie the Pooh seemed like a cute chubby baby costume since his birthday is close to Halloween.”
Q: What party project are you most proud of?
“It’s hard to pick one, but probably the highchair banner or the family costumes if I had to choose. Or I’m pretty proud of finding all those Hundred Acre Wood characters.”
Q: Where did you find those decorations, especially those adorable stuffed animals?
“A lot of the stuff I made myself, or thrifted. The stuffed animals took the longest time, but I found each of them individually on Mercari.”
Q: Did you have any games or activities?
“We had a costume party, did pin the tail on Eeyore, and had a competitive Honey Toss with the prize of honey sticks and tickets to ‘see the bears’ at Bear World.
Q: Tastiest food of the party?
“There was a lot of good food, but something that surprised me were those candy acorns made out of Hershey Kisses and Vanilla Wafers. They were a lot tastier than I thought. And those Bit-O-Honey candies are underrated. We were addicted to them for a few weeks.”
Q: Favorite memory of the day?
“After all this hard work, right when everyone was coming, he got so grumpy and fussy because he didn’t get a nap. But after a while he cheered up and seeing him happy and smiling with his red balloon not only made this party, but also this whole year and all we’ve been through worth it.”
